The members of the three finalist teams get:
- The opportunity to complete a two-week paid summer internship at the BCL;
- Collector coins issued by the BCL;
- Cash prizes;
- Numerous BCL gadgets.
In addition, the winners of the competition will be invited to a two-day study trip to Frankfurt organised by the BCL, during which participants will visit the ECB and other institutions.
For all participants, the competition represents a unique opportunity to gain a better understanding of the role of central banks and thus a better overview of how the economy works. This knowledge can be useful for the rest of their academic career.
The competition also aims to reinforce skills such as teamwork, the ability to carry out research independently, to write a contribution according to precise rules and to make an oral presentation to a jury of experts.
